Getting Notified
Workflow will send you an email and create a notification in the Workflow inbox when you receive feedback.
If you receive multiple notifications at once, Workflow will batch them together into one email. You can also receive Workflow notifications in Slack.
Emails
Workflow sends you an email
To avoid email overwhelm, Workflow will wait five minutes after you receive any feedback before sending you the email, and will gather all the feedback you received in that time together.
In Settings > Notifications you can change the delay to 30 seconds to receive emails sooner, or up to 6 hours to reduce the number of emails you receive.
Slack
In Settings > Slack you can connect your Workflow account to Slack.
Once connected, when you receive a notification, the Workflow Slack bot will send you a personal message to let you know.
The Inbox
Workflow gives you an inbox that lists your notifications.
- Notifications appear as a new item in your inbox.
- Click on one to view it.
- After reviewing, click “Done” at the top right of the task.
- Dismissing a notification brings up the next one, letting you rapidly move through your task list.
Notifications can also be dismissed directly from the inbox by clicking the “Done” button or with the “E” keyboard shortcut when one is highlighted.
Tip: Aim for “Inbox Zero”
To keep your projects moving fast, respond to notifications as soon as you can. When you’ve marked them all as “done”, and you’ll hit Inbox Zero.
Keep your inbox at Inbox Zero to keep your projects moving.
That’s everything you need to know about getting feedback!
The rest of this guide covers the optional extras: using Workflow as a task manager, a creative hub or a client portal.
