Without a clear end to the process, many reviewers will continually tweak and suggest changes to your work.

To help you move forwards, Workflow allows you to get final approval from your reviewer, signaling that the time for feedback and changes is over.

How to turn on approval

  1. Open your work
  2. In the sidebar, visit the “Details” tab at the top left
  3. Click “enable approvals” - an approval button with appear top right

Reviewers can now click the approval button to approve or request changes after their review.

What happens when the work is marked as approved?

  • You receive a notification letting you know the work has been approved
  • The work is shown as “Approved” on your dashboard.
  • “[Your reviewer] approved this” appears in the comments tab.

Workflow does not prevent new comments being added after the work is approved. We found that locking feedback caused more feedback to be sent in emails and chat messages - causing confusion.

However, we are addding a seperate button to turn off new comments soon.

How to reset approvals

To reset the approval status of your work, click on the “approval” button again in the top right and click “unapprove”.

This is useful if you want approval on each version separately.
