Creative hubs and client portals are two common ways to use Workflow.

  • Creative hub: for your company’s team to see what the designers are working on.
  • Client portal: for external stakeholders such as clients to get a transparent overview of their projects.

Creative Hubs

A creative hub is a central space for your company to see all of the design work that is coming through the pipeline.

To use your workflow account as a creative hub, invite your team.

Team members can create new tasks (design requests) for you or other designers to pick up later.

Client Portals

If you work with a client on multiple assets, you might want to give them visibility of the project in Workflow that you have given them access to.

To use workflow as a client portal, invite clients as guests a project for their work.

Tips:

  • You can also allow your client to add new tasks, or fill out the briefings for tasks that you have created yourself.
  • If your projects tend to follow the same pattern, why not create a template project.

Some freelancers and agencies set up a retainer contract with their client and invite the client to add new design requests to their Workflow board.
